Location
Torfhús Retreat is located in the rural heart of Iceland‘s breathtaking Golden Circle. Our retreat offers guests the ability to enjoy the peace and comfort of authentic Icelandic hospitality whilst exploring with ease the iconic sights of the Golden Circle.
These include Þingvellir National Park, a site of historical, cultural and geological significance, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland, the Great Geysir and the nearby spectacular Gullfoss waterfall. The Highland and South Shore with their breattaking landscapes and unique geological formations are all easily accessible.
Transportation
Torfhús Retreat is located in the south of Iceland near the major attractions of Gullfoss and Geysir. From Reykjavík, the transfer is approximately 100km (1 hour 15 minutes) by car. Keflavík International Airport is 145km away (2 hours drive) if you follow the scenic coastal route. Torfhus Retreat can arrange private transfers from Reykjavik, Keflavik Airport and anywhere else in Iceland by car or helicopter. If you wish to rent a car we can assist in making these arrangements for you.
