Relax & unwind -

Soak in your own basalt stone hot pool

Whether it is under the bright constellations, dancing northern lights or gently falling snow of winter or during the warm days and white nights of summer, your basalt stone hot pool is the ultimate spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Set the temperature to your liking (36-42 degrees celcius), relax and retreat into authentic Icelandic nature regardless of the season or weather.

Iceland has a long and rich tradition of bathing in warm geothermal pools – one of the country‘s many natural blessings. The many uses of abundant geothermal water no doubt encouraged early settlers to choose this rugged environment and Icelandic people have made full use of them throughout the centuries. Bathing in natural stone hot pools is frequently recorded in Icelandic folklore and at Torfhús Retreat, we are proud to continue the tradition for our guests.

Our peak seasons of winter and summer are dramatically different.
